Tuxedo drops new single, “Number One,” announces debut LP

Tuxedo, which is made up of favorite here at the blog, Mayer Hawthorne and Jake Uno, have release some incredibly infectious jams over the past couple years, like their debut project, Tuxedo EP, back in 2013. Now, thankfully, the duo is plnning to release its first full-length album, Tuxedo, and it will be released March 3.

Along with the announcement of the album, the duo, which is signed to Stones Throw Records, released the first single from the album, “Number One,” which is an even funkier rendition of Snoop Dogg’s “Ain’t No Fun (If the Homies Can’t Have None).” (Rest in peace, Nate Dogg.) Who knew it was possible to take west coast funk to an even groovier level?
