Alternative R&B shapeshifter and genre-bender Ehiorobo celebrates a decade of his breakout debut with the announcement of Limeade (Quench Perpetual Edition), a fully expanded 10-year anniversary edition. First released when Ehiorobo was just 20 years old, Limeade quickly became a cult favorite for its eccentric blend of electronic R&B, experimental rap, and off-kilter pop, introducing listeners to an imaginative voice unbound by convention.
Limeade (Quench Perpetual Edition) revisits that world with a fresh dimension. The two-disc deluxe release features:
- 10 additional tracks including brand-new songs, reworks, and remixes
- Included are 2 previously unreleased 2013 demos from the original Limeade era, “Moth (Halcyon Days)” & “D(ow)t”
- A full re-contextualization of the album’s playful, late-night creative energy through unreleased material and modern production
To commemorate the anniversary, we released a limited edition run of 200 transparent green vinyl records, featuring the two archival 2013 demo tracks exclusive to the physical format. The collectible pressing nods to the album’s citrus-soaked aesthetic and the vivid DIY spirit that shaped the early chapters of Ehiorobo’s sound.
The first single from the project, “Strawberry Vat,” offers a surreal, high-energy reentry into the Limeade universe. Written, produced, mixed, and mastered entirely by Ehiorobo, the track fuses electronic R&B, alternative rap, and hyperpop while drawing inspiration from MF DOOM, Quasimoto, and the animated pop charisma of Powerline from A Goofy Movie. Its accompanying video was created in collaboration TikTok comedian @dejiwastaken.
Limeade (Quench Perpetual Edition) serves both as a celebration and a continuation: honoring a decade of growth while expanding the mythology of a foundational project that continues to resonate with fans old and new.
