New Bedford abstract hip-hop artist Chow's new album Seeker of Knowledge is a project that is close to his heart that blends themes of esoteric wisdom, resilience, and self-discovery. The project, entirely self-written, mixed, and mastered by the artist, features production from Shemar (“Marching to the Drum,” “Stay Ahead,” “Take It Personal,” “Can’t Save Em All”) and dj noonsomewhere (“Fog Brain”), with guest verses from local collaborators Jadooks and Toki on the bonus track, “Right Tools.”

In 2024, Chow released solo projects Pisces & Aquarian Appetizer and appeared on JUNE! and Jay Cinema's JUNECINEMA tape, building on his collaborative work with Jay Cinema, Alchemy and ALCDELUXE. He continues evolving his distinctive lyrical, sample-driven sound, most recently crafting Seeker of Knowledge in his first professional studio. Inspired by a friend's observation of his "epistemophilia" (love of knowledge), the project weaves together Vedic astrology, Taino mythology, and musical influences from his upbringing. Centering on the importance of a strong internal locus of control, Seeker of Knowledge confronts toxic masculinity, capitalist fatigue, and societal disillusionment through Chow's sharp introspection and gritty optimism.
“We are all humans experiencing life for the first time, constantly adapting and learning, why not help someone who asks for it,” he posits. A love letter to his ancestors’ legacy in defiance of the ravages of colonialism, tracks like " Thru Tears,” (on perseverance) and “Antardasha,” (named for an astrological transition period) map his existential undertaking. The album's cover art, designed by Veeapollo (of the Apollos Harp collective) fuses the Ouroboros (eternity) with Taino goddess Atabey - a visual metaphor for Chow's Puerto Rican roots and belief in cyclical renewal. In our increasingly dystopian era, Chow has challenged himself once again, experimenting with new collaborators and genres to craft his most sonically and lyrically therapeutic work to date.
