Haasan Barclay is a recording artist, songwriter, producer from Boston, MA. His music represents the melding of classic pop sensibilities with a fresh, modern intensity. Barclay’s creative approach to short-form video has amassed millions of views across social media, acclaim from tastemakers like music critic Anthony Fantano of The Needle Drop and DJ Jamz Supernova of BBC 1Xtra, and led to partnerships with brands like Giphy, Topo Chico, Gretsch Guitars, and ARP Synthesizers. His work has been featured in publications such as: Billboard, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NPR, and Complex; and in exhibitions at the Institute of Contemporary Art & Boston Center for the Arts. Recent live performances include: BAMS Fest, NICE, a Fest, Boston Fuzzstival, and at noted area venues like The Sinclair, Brighton Music Hall, and Crystal Ballroom. He is also a two-time Boston Music Awards Nominee for R&B Artist of the Year, as well as the recipient of both the City of Boston’s Opportunity Fund & The Boston Foundation’s LAB Grant programs. 

In 2025 he co-wrote three tracks on 6x time Grammy-nominated artist Yola’s My Way EP, which was released via S-Curve Records. In March 2026 he released his latest project Bell Biv Barclay in collaboration with rapper ET of Van Buren Records. This love letter to the New Jack swing era innovatively blends his nostalgic, sample-driven production with the latter’s charismatic flow & clever lyricism. His long-anticipated solo project is slated for release in Summer 2026 via EveryDejaVu.
